So I guess I technically broke the chain Yesterday was a terribly busy day for myself, BUT I figured I’d do a two-in-one to make up for missing yesterday.

So for May 4th, it was “FUN”.  I decided to take a photo of my Playstation 3.  I love my PS3.  It’s basically the ultimate outlet for my laziness.  I use it for video games, Netflix, blu-rays, etc. it is definitely the defintion of FUN.

I decided to go for a “Product Photography” shot.  Pretty legit eh?  Hey Sony, hit me up!

Allllrighty then, so now it’s time for May 5th.  The actual photo for today haha.  Today’s photo was supposed to be of a bird.  I woke up with the thought of, “Where will I find a bird?  Where do birds hang out?”  Despite the obvious confidence I had in myself, to my surprise, there was a bird right under my nose… in my driveway… DEAD.  I had to!  I know it’s a tad bit gross, but I mean come on, what are the odds that I find a dead bird on today of all days?  Too easy

I hope no one got sick after looking at this!  I apologize!

Okay, so now I’m back on track,  I plan on sticking to the schedule, to the best of my ability!  You are beautiful and amazing!  Catch ya tomorrow.

Sup interworld.  Today is day 3 of the May Photo Challenge and so far so good!  Today was “something you wore today”, so I went with something that I wear EVERY day.

I’ve worn this ring every day for just over two years (with the exception of a few days here and there when I get my ring finger tattoo touched up!)!  This is my wedding ring.. obviously haha.

This wristband represents LOVOLUTION.  It’s represents the generation of today’s responsibility as Christians to start a Love Revolution.  AYM stands for Ablaze Youth Ministries.

Ablaze Youth Ministries changed my life when I was 14 years old.  I’m 22 now and I thank God for AYM, because without that ministry, who knows where I’d be now!  If you have the time, please go check them out: ablazeym.org. I’ve been a Youth Leader there for about 3 years.  I feel God placed it on my heart to help kids, younger than myself, with their problems so they don’t have to go through the same things that I went through when I was their age.  There is so much to life through Jesus and God’s Word than what this world has to offer.  If you ever need prayer, someone talk to, or ANYTHING find me, msg me, call me, etc. I’ll do what I can to help

What’s up guys!  I actually had a tough time getting a skyline picture today.  At one point, I was pretty convinced I wouldn’t have the time or know a location to get a good one.  HOWEVER, I managed to grab me a good skyline pic!

BOOM!  Day #2 COMPLETE!

BEFORE, I got my awesome skyline picture, I was able to snap some cool shots in my folks back yard earlier today.  These were going to be my “sky photos” if I couldn’t find a skyline haha.

I LOVE the clouds in this picture.

Honestly, I don’t know what I was thinking when I took this photo, but I really like how it turned out.

First off, I made updates to the gallery page and will be posting new material again here soon.  SO, if you would like to check those out and leave me your thoughts below, I’d appreciate it!  Secondly, life for Kyody Pictures is going quite well.  It’s nice to finally start getting steady jobs and being able to have a regular schedule with shooting/editing shots.

For all of those that saw my recent video I did for The Lost Weekend, I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be working on another video project at the beginning of the summer.  So be on the lookout for updated info. about the cinematography gig!

So the other night, I was a little bored and decided to get a little creative!  As you know, I acquired a Canon 50mm 1.8 II a little while back, and it has definitely been WORTH THE BUY.  It is a great product for those who want low-light shots with shallow depth of field.

Some sample shots of my 50mm shots from the other night.

All of these photos were shot with a Canon 60D with a 50mm lens.  There was a single bulb, florescent light box in the center of the room and all other lights in this room were out.  I positioned the light to face the floor, so most of the light was aimed at the ground, and light would bounce off the floor to provide a fill light in the areas where it was needed.

This photo above, is from my only session of Self-Portraits I’ve done with the 50mm lens with my Canon 60D.  I shot this at: 1/125(shutter), 1.8(aperture), and 100(ISO).  I used the same light box I used for the “floor pictures”, but had it positioned about 1 foot away from the right side of my face and about the camera’s distance away from me (roughly 2-3 feet, if I were to guess!).
